Electricity distribution prices vary significantly in Finland, and the differences can be surprisingly big. For example, for a house with electric heating and an annual consumption of 18,000 kWh, the costs can be several hundred euros more per year in the most expensive distribution network areas compared to the more affordable areas. In this sense, too, the situation is quite good in Nurmijärvi.
According to a recent comparison by the Finnish Home Owners’ Association, Nurmijärven Sähköverkko is still ranked among the network companies that are well below the national average price, ranking 12th. The comparison included all 77 electricity distribution network companies in Finland.
The results reflect the ownership policy of the municipality of Nurmijärvi: electricity distribution prices are kept moderate and below average, which is concretely reflected in the customers’ everyday lives as lower annual costs.
