Nurmijärven Sähköverkko Oy will increase the electricity distribution prices as of 1 August 2026. The increase in the tax-free price is 5 % and applies to the most common components (basic fee, energy fee, power fee).
The reasons for the price increase are the price increases of the Finnish transmission system operator Fingrid, increase in network construction costs, and general inflation. The increase ensures the maintenance of the electricity network system security, necessary investments, and the covering of increased maintenance and material costs.
Even after the increase, our distribution prices will be below the national average in accordance with the policy of the company’s owner, the municipality of Nurmijärvi.
Examples of the average impact of the price changes
3×25 A, general distribution (prices incl. VAT 25.5 %)
| Housing type | Annual consumption | Effect |
| Apartment building | 2000 kWh | 0.87 €/month |
| Detached house / terraced house, no electric heating | 5000 kWh | 1.24 €/month |
| Detached house, electric heating | 18 000 kWh | 2.87 €/month |
The customer-specific price change varies depending on the size of the electricity connection and the distribution product. The price increase is based on section 15.3 of the Terms of Network Service (VPE2024). It is possible to terminate the network service agreement due to a price increase, but the supply of electricity requires that the customer has a valid network service agreement.
