In the SPOT-priced electricity products the price of electricity changes every 15 minutes. You can save money by directing your energy consumption to advantageous times.
The SPOT prices consist of the official price of electricity in the Finnish bidding area of the Nordic electricity exchange (Nord Pool Spot), the VAT applied at any given time and the electricity sales company’s margin. In addition, we charge a basic fee. SPOT-priced products are invoiced monthly.
When electricity production exceeds consumption, the SPOT prices sometimes fall negative. Negative prices are possible, for example, in windy weather. When the price is negative, the customer does not pay for energy, but the electricity seller pays the customer for the use of electricity. However, the customer must pay a fee for the distribution of electricity and the margin in accordance with their sales contract.
